IDR 2.5 Trillion Investment Flows into West Aceh: Integrated Coal Conveyor Infrastructure Set to Boost Export Competitiveness
This historic milestone is marked by the signing of a Heads of Agreement between Menas Capital LLC—acting as the lead sponsor and strategic financing partner—and PT Victory Sinergi Indonesia (VSI) as the initiator and local development partner.
This mega-project is positioned as a strategic regional asset that will not only strengthen mining logistics but also serve as a model for responsible infrastructure development in Indonesia.
Logistics Transformation with a 20 Million Ton Annual CapacityThe planned infrastructure will transform the landscape of mining logistics in West Aceh. This project will establish an infrastructure corridor integrating a modern enclosed conveyor system with a massive carrying capacity of 20 million tons per year.
This conveyor system is designed to directly connect the mining operational area to the mother vessel offshore.
The Founder and CEO of PT Victory Sinergi Indonesia, Adya Viale, emphasized that this agreement is a strategic step for the future of West Aceh's infrastructure. "Through structured and responsible collaboration, we are building a logistics corridor that provides tangible benefits for the industry, the community, and regional growth," Adya stated.
Multiplier Effect for the Local Economy and WorkforceThe presence of this IDR 2.5 trillion investment is projected to deliver a highly significant multiplier effect for Aceh's economy, including:
Job Creation: The project will absorb thousands of workers, both during the construction phase and during full operations.
Empowering Local Businesses: Opening massive opportunities for local contractors and suppliers to engage in the infrastructure development supply chain.
BUMD Involvement: Synergy with Regionally-Owned Enterprises (BUMD) will be part of the strategy to strengthen the regional economy and enhance local human resource capacity.
Boosting GRDP: The increase in export efficiency and capacity will directly drive Regional Original Revenue (PAD) and contribute significantly to the growth of West Aceh's Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP).
Prioritizing ESG Principles and Public SafetyOne of the main advantages of this conveyor project is its strong commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles.
This fully enclosed conveyor system initiative provides solutions to various logistical and social issues that have occurred in the region:
Traffic Safety: Heavy coal truck traffic that previously passed through villages will be eliminated, ensuring that community and public road user safety is much more guaranteed.
Environmentally Friendly: Modern dust control technologies and noise impact reduction in residential areas will minimize the ecological footprint of coal logistics activities.
Maintaining Export Quality: The integrated handling system from the mine to the ship will maintain the caloric and physical quality of the coal, increasing its selling value in the international market.
Justin Joel, Senior Advisor of Menas Capital LLC, stated that the final investment value will continue to be optimized alongside the technical engineering process. "This partnership reflects a long-term commitment to infrastructure development based on strong governance and financing discipline. We believe this project can deliver sustainable economic value for Aceh," he affirmed.
The next phase of this mega-project includes accelerating technical engineering, finalizing licensing and feasibility studies, and structuring financing in compliance with all national and regional regulations.
This project is expected not only to solidify West Aceh as a national strategic export gateway but also to act as a catalyst, attracting further advanced investments in the industrial and logistics sectors to Aceh Province.
