Invest Aceh Launches Interactive Investment Potential Map of Aceh

DPMPTSP Aceh, through its digital investment promotion platform Invest in Aceh (investaceh.id), has launched an interactive investment map of Aceh Province. Available at investaceh.id/peta-investasi, the new feature offers investors, researchers, and development partners a spatially intuitive tool to explore Aceh's 23 regencies and cities alongside 12 priority investment opportunities — all in one dynamic, clickable interface.

The map, developed as an integrated feature of the investaceh.id platform, displays the administrative boundaries of all 18 kabupaten (regencies) and 5 kota (cities) across Aceh Province, colour-coded and individually labelled with their respective capital cities. Each region is fully interactive: clicking on a district instantly reveals key information including the regional capital, land area, BPS administrative code, and a direct link to further regional information. The interface is designed to reflect the official Invest in Aceh brand identity — combining the agency's signature cobalt blue and red accent palette with clean, government-standard typography to project both credibility and accessibility.

Beyond administrative geography, the map integrates 12 investment project opportunities drawn directly from the investaceh.id/projects catalogue, each positioned at its approximate real-world location within the province. The projects span five priority investment sectors: Tourism and Healthcare, Fisheries, Agro-Industry, Infrastructure, and Industry. Colour-coded markers distinguish each sector at a glance, enabling investors to identify geographic clusters of opportunity — such as the concentration of maritime and tourism projects around the KPBPB Sabang Free Trade Zone in the northwest, or the agro-industrial and industrial prospects anchored around KEK Arun Lhokseumawe in the north coast.

Among the featured projects are the Sabang One Stop Service Hospital, a BOT-structured healthcare and medical tourism investment valued at Rp 805.15 billion; the CT-1 and CT-3 Port Joint Cooperation opportunity in Sabang; the luxury resort development at Alue Riyeung, Pulo Aceh; fisheries industry development across Sabang and Pulo Aceh; and agro-industrial investments including the Aceh Coffee Processing Industry at KEK Arun Lhokseumawe, Cocoa Plantation Development in Pidie Jaya, and a food processing facility in Aceh Tengah. Each project marker opens a detailed information card containing the project title, location, investment sector, business scheme, and a direct link to the full project profile on the investaceh.id portal.

"We designed this map as a navigation tool for investors who are beginning to explore Aceh," said Riadi Husaini, Sub-Coordinator for Investment Promotion at DPMPTSP Aceh. "Rather than reading through a list of projects in isolation, investors can now immediately understand where an opportunity sits geographically, what sector it belongs to, and how it relates to the surrounding regional infrastructure. That spatial context is something a text-based listing simply cannot convey, and it is often the deciding factor in early-stage interest."

The platform has been engineered for accessibility across device types. The map interface is fully mobile-responsive, with an optimised layout for smartphones and tablets that stacks the navigation panel below the map canvas, preserves the full project and regional information panels, and supports touch-based zoom and pan. This ensures that investors conducting due diligence on mobile devices, whether at an international trade forum or during a site visit, and have uninterrupted access to the same quality of information as desktop users. The tool requires no downloads, registration, or login: it is freely accessible to any visitor to the investaceh.id website.

The launch of the interactive map reflects a broader strategic commitment by DPMPTSP Aceh to leverage digital infrastructure as an active instrument of investment promotion. Since the introduction of investaceh.id, the agency has built out a growing suite of investor-facing digital services — including the IRPO (Investment Ready Project Opportunity) project catalogue, an E-Library of investment procedures and regulatory guides, the Ask Inong AI assistant, and the GIS InvestAceh geospatial intelligence system.
